Day 6 A picture of your morning start.

Not a fun way to start my morning. Seems that this cold that's going around has finally hit me. It's not the sneezing or coughing that I mind so much...but the stuffy head and plugged ears? Blech. No thank you. Staying in bed today. I NEVER do that. Hoping to salvage the last part of our spring break somehow. *sigh*

Day 5 A favorite memory

This picture was taken last summer in Washington state. My family and I traveled by car to take part in my brother-in-law's wedding. The bonus was that we would get to visit with my mom, dad and sister as well. I don't get to see my parents that often and this is a definite favorite memory. I love being with them. We were at the Seattle Space Needle and Science Center on this day. Good times for sure!

Day 04 A picture of your night

When I started this challenge, I was excited to see that Day 4 asked for a picture of my night. I knew that it would be spring break and I had planned a special little get away for my family and I. Sadly, this is what we were doing on this night. We were at an urgent care facility because my little guy was having severe asthma problems. We found out after blood being drawn, a prednisone shot and chest x-ray that he was also fighting the beginnings of pneumonia. We went back to the hotel and he and I rested. I had Marco take the girls to the movies as we had planned ealier. They enjoyed themselves, but said it wasn't the same without their little guy. He is doing better now, thank God - but we are taking it easy at home with medication and rest.

Well, I'm forever working on one project or another - but this is one that I am just starting. I am going to make a recipe box and I'm going with the retro kitchen theme. I will be sure to post pictures when I'm done of course.

If you know me, you know that I like to surround myself with people that are generally positive, interested in edifying others, and inspire others to find/be their authentic self. Well, that is basically a description of my friend Lee. She recently shared this photo challenge on her blog and I loved the idea of a prompt each day to guide me. I enjoy taking pictures and recording our memories, but I tend to get bogged down on WHAT and HOW. This one is a no brainer! I can still add my twist to it, but the prompts are right there!
