FOR TODAY...

Outside my window...it is hazy, thanks to our Southern California smog and it looks as if it's going to be another warm day...probably in the 80's.

I am thinking...how proud I am of my Taryn for getting straight A's on her report card, my daughter Hannah for working so hard to be on the water polo team, my daughter Naomi for always looking out for her baby brother and for Little Marco knowing how to use words like camouflage and nocturnal. =)

I am thankful...for quiet moments that I can spend in my Bible study.  There's so much to think and pray about!

From the learning rooms...learning to recognize his letters.

In the kitchen...Christmas decorations and boxes are all strewn about. Haha. We'll be grilling hamburgers for dinner tonight.

I am wearing...comfy black cotton capris and a gray v-neck t-shirt and cozy socks.

I am writing...lists of things that need to be done for this holiday time as well as a small Bible devotion that I'm going to share at our ladies' Christmas potluck.

I am going...to get back to the "basics" in so many areas.

I am wondering...what the Lord has in store for my family this coming year.

I am reading...the book of 1 John for my Good Morning Girls Bible study.  We are almost done!  I sure have gotten a lot out of it.  I've read 1 John many times, but it's really impacting me differently this time!

I am hoping...for clarity and wisdom for my dear friends Tim and Erin Bruce.  God is using them in a very special way.  They will be traveling, sharing their journey story and how it's changed their lives and Erin will be singing and leading worship wherever she goes.  Praying that the Lord will open doors for them.

I am looking forward to...some quiet time when my chores are caught up so that I can read - just for fun. =)

I am hearing...my son sing his version of Jingle Bells.  "Jingle bells, jingle bells, all and all's the way, In the sky, in the sky, One more daaaay!"  LOL

Around the house...trying to get the Christmas decorations and tree up.  Realizing I've got a lot that can be thrown out - broken, old, cheap or faded items that can't be re-purposed or given away.  For some reason, I keep packing it back into the boxes year after year. =/

I am pondering...when I'll have a date night with my favorite guy. =)

One of my favorite things...talking to my sisters and brother and knowing that through all of life's ups and downs, we are drawing closer to each other through it all!

A few plans for the rest of the week: planning on making dinner for our band practice this Friday, looking forward to having the Bruce's here for the weekend, our English service launch is this Sunday and planning for our ladies' Christmas potluck and ornament exchange.
A picture thought I'm sharing:
This is my guy Marco. He's my best friend AND he's my pastor. =)  You may notice that my hair is darker.  I had my daughter help me apply a box of Nice and Easy to try to cover those pesky grays - not too bad for $4.99

  1. We're enjoying warm weather too here in South Florida, though we're supposed to get down into the 50's tonight. I'm looking forward to that. We even cooked the same meal today!

I'm enjoying this season of getting into the Word more. So much to be thankful for, starting with the birth of our Savior.

I enjoyed your daybook! Have a blessed rest of your week.
