FOR TODAY...

Outside my window...
The weather is hot and HUMID. Two words I never like to hear together.  However, it is bright and sunny.  Still hoping for cooler weather here.
I am thinking...
that there is nothing sweeter or cuter than my little guy coming up to me during random times of the day just to give me a hug or tell me that he loves me.  Lately, he has been saying things like "Mom, you are in my heart and my whole life." or "Mom, my muscles are bigger and I could protect you and punch monsters in the face for you!"   Awwww...my guy.
I am thankful...
for my parents. They are far from perfect, but who isn't?  They are celebrating their wedding anniversary today.  I'm glad that I got strong characteristics from both of them.
From the learning rooms...
Today we continued on tracing the letter Aa and practicing its short sound.  He also did a couple work sheets with the letter A, but he had to color by number.  He did a tracing sheet today (wasn't happy about it) and played with play-doh.
In the kitchen...
We will be having some ground beef tostadas with refried beans, sour cream, lettuce, tomato, and tapatio. =)
I am wearing... 
denim shorts and my favorite "around the house" shirt. It is black, purple and gray. Just very comfy and today is one those "comfy first" kind of days.
I am creating...
things for my etsy shop. Hoping to get some banners completed for the holidays too.
I am going...
to have a brainstorming party with my daughter, Hannah, for her 16th birthday party.
I am wondering... 
how our Grand Opening service will be this Sunday at our new location.  I'm so excited.  We have lots of great things planned and most importantly, we are hoping to get the word out that we are there in the neighborhood ready to share the sweet love of God.
I am reading...the book of 1 John right now. I have been participating in an online Bible study with Good Morning Girls.  I have put my leisure reading on hold until I can get my hands on the next one...
I am hoping...
that it will not rain on Sunday.  The weather man said that it might.
I am looking forward to...
watching my daughter, Taryn, in her first volleyball game.  After a few weeks of prep and tryouts, she finally got word that she made the cut!
I am hearing...
my Pandora radio station.  Right now Adele's Right as Rain happens to be playing.
Around the house...
I am caught up with the laundry...for today.
I am pondering...
so many ideas that I see on Pinterest.  I am completely addicted! I do try to be selective about what I pin though. I am also pretty picky how I categorize my pins. =)
One of my favorite things...
right now is ice water in a big mason jar.  I think any drink tastes better in a mason jar, don't you?
A few plans for the rest of the week:
We have worship band practice tomorrow night, visits on Saturday and our Grand Opening on Sunday.  A busy, full weekend is ahead - but I am so excited about it!!
