FOR TODAY...

Outside my window...
I finally have a cool day!!  Yesterday was what I consider perfect - cool and raining, but not pouring.  Today was breezy and only got up to about 60*.   I know this won't last, so I'm going to enjoy it as much as I can.
I am thinking...
about my siblings and how we all live so far away from each other.  I miss them so much these days and I especially love the little nieces and nephews that I hardly know at all.  =(
I am thankful...
for a hard-working husband.  Other than my dad, I don't know a harder working man.  He is all about providing for his family and I am blessed that he is all mine.
From the learning rooms...
I am planning out a few fall projects.  My little guy has also been tracing letters now and not just lines that zig-zag and swoop and dip.
In the kitchen...
Tonight we are having roast pork that I browned up really nice in some butter and now it's been cooking in the slow cooker all day, some roasted garlic potatoes, steamed veggies and salad.
I am wearing...
olive green capris and a top that's got black, blue and olive green designs on it.
I am creating...
some new ideas for my blog.  I've been really trying to organize and be true to the direction that I wanted for it when I "re-vamped" it.  I want to really be able to share my blog the way *I* want it - not how I think people expect me to have it.
I am going...
forward in life.  Always forward, always learning and always for the better.
I am wondering...

how my two oldest are doing in school.  I usually check their grades frequently on-line.  Not just 'cause I'm Asian and that's a big deal (ha-ha), but one low test or quiz can send a grade over the edge in just a day.  Yikes.  I've got to keep an eye on that!
I am reading...the book of 1 John still. I have been participating in an online Bible study with Good Morning Girls.  I have put my leisure reading on hold until I can get my hands on the next one...
I am hoping...
that the weather remains cool and fall-ish. It's about all I can think about - can you tell? lol
I am looking forward to...
visits to the Farmer's Market, the Insect Fair, the Pumpkin Patch and Apple Orchards... fall activities!!
I am hearing...
Hosanna by Brooke Fraser right now. On repeat.
Around the house...
I have candles lit to remind me to pray for peace over my home and my family. Fall decorations are all throughout.  Today my little guy told me that his house makes his heart happy.  Those that know me know that I cried on the spot.  Is there anything better?? *sigh*
I am pondering...
whether or not I'm going to take out my art journaling tonight or my scrapbook stuff...tough one, but hopefully it'll be one of them!!
One of my favorite things...
is Bit-O-Honey candy.  I bought a little bag at the 99 cent store even though I know that they are HORRIBLE for my teeth.  BUT they are so good.  I like to hold it in my hand and mush it around in its wrapper to get it really soft before I pop it in my mouth.   Mmmmm.  Again, it brings back wonderful fall time memories.
A few plans for the rest of the week:
We have worship band practice tomorrow night and hopefully some family time this weekend.  Not sure what the plan is, but looking forward to being with my favorite people.
Here are some pictures for thought I am sharing...

This is what an October sky looks like today in Southern California.

We bought little Marco a 4 piece nugget meal and the fries are  now this size and it comes with sliced apples as well.  I think that's better for the "nutrition", but now I want to buy the meal just for the cute packaging for the fries. haha.  Looks even smaller in my husband's hand.
We had to wait for several minutes at the school for Taryn.  Marco decided he'd  act out a battle for us while we waited.  I love his imagination.  I think it was tag-team today.   =)
Tomorrow, I'm going to share a little tour of part of my home for my siblings and anyone else that wants to take a peek. =)

  1. My siblings live fairly close to me but we still don't see each other as often as I like. We try to eat together once a month though, whoever can come.

1 John is such an excellent book to be studying. I am doing an on-line study on the Fruit of the Spirit. I am so thankful for the proliferation of on-line studies!

I had to give up Bit-O-Honey. ha. Love the taste but couldn't take the sticky factor.

    Thanks for sharing your Daybook.
